Ukulele for Beginners
IF YOU LIKE A UKULELE LADY... Learn to play the ukulele, the little instrument that you can play in an hour and develop over a lifetime.
Then you will love Tricity Vogue. Tricity set up the Ukulele Cabaret which regularly sells out at the Edinburgh Fringe. Think Peggy Lee after too many cocktails.
Tricity is an inspiring teacher with an eclectic song repertoire. You can learn to play a simple tune in half an hour, but it can be developed over a lifetime. If you have always longed to play a musical instrument but didn’t know where to start now’s the moment.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
You will start to learn the basics of playing the ukulele. Simple chords and strums. Music scores will be provided, you can take these home for practice later. You will sing with the group
and even work out a harmony or two. Songs will be familiar, so you can concentrate on holding and playing the ukulele. This is a beginners lesson,so if you are musically clueless this is the class for you.
HOW LONG IS THIS CLASS?
DO I NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING?
Please feel free to bring your own Ukulele if you have one. There will be spare ones to borrow, but for further practise it is nice to own your own. Our uke workshops happen once every 2 months.
