The chairs have been up-cycled and the lunch successfully foraged. All's right with the world.


Calypso Rose (Linked in) – set up her own giftware company Clippykit in 2004. It soon became a multi award winning company securing Calypso the titles of ITV’s London Young Business Person of the Year, Daily Mail’s Creative Young Brit. and The Observers Future 500.A London girl with a deep love for a pop-up in an unusual location and any sort of event, Calypso has also wanted to run classes. Not just any class but classes with attitude. The kind you run to on a wet night in November, and skip to when the sun breaks through in April. A class to make you feel good about yourself... and forget the mundane.

Stuart Lang (Linked In) – the brand man. A man who loves discovering the new whilst being inspired by the craftsmen of old - from hand lettering artists in California and street artists in Brazil through to photographers in Glasgow and screen printers in Dalston. with over 14 years experience in creating and launching multi-channel brands in all industry sectors, Stuart has worked with clients as diverse as MTV, Download Festival, the Mayor of London, Monster Energy and The Outward Bound Trust. True to type - he is currently learning the skills of letter pressing.

Clare Hastings – shared life with Calypso at Clippykit. Previously a stylist and costume designer. Started her career at Harpers and Queen magazine before freelancing for stills shoots and television commercials. Career highlights breakfasting at the Savoy with Mick and Jerry, cross dressing Harry Enfield, chortling with Billy Connelly. In between too many things to mention.At the moment learning Uke, up-cycling and biscuit icing... So here is The Indytute born from a love of life and the desire to make stuff happen.
